When is my card charged?

TL;DR: $1 now to hold your spot. The rest lands after the campaign hits its goal — or you get the $1 back if it doesn't.

Two charges, in this order:

1. $1 immediately — the moment you confirm your pledge. This holds your spot at the current price and adds you to the backer count.
2. The remainder — charged when the campaign funding goal is reached. You'll get an email a week before it happens with the exact amount (product cost + shipping to your address).

If the campaign doesn't hit its goal, the $1 is refunded automatically. You never pay more than $1 unless the campaign funds.

Your card must stay valid until the second charge lands. If it expires between pledge and funding, we'll email you to update it — one click, no re-pledging.

Not every campaign works this way. VIP tiers charge only $1 total and unlock exclusive extras when the main campaign ships. The pledge card tells you which applies.
