Made with SiegeMental
HMS King George V class on the back
45 mm die-struck brass, antique finish, in a clear capsule
PROJECT STORY
A coin made with SiegeMental for everyone whose brain itches for military history.
On the morning of 27 May 1941, after a chase across the North Atlantic, HMS King George V, flagship of Admiral Sir John Tovey, closed on Bismarck together with HMS Rodney. Their gunfire wrecked the German battleship, which sank that morning. Neal picked King George V for the back of his coin, and it comes out with his long-form video on her.
How it works: reserve your coin for $1. If 100 are reserved by the deadline, we charge the rest of the $25 price plus $5 shipping worldwide. If we don't reach 100, your $1 comes back.
Front: the SiegeMental emblem, a heavy S topped with castle battlements and a lit cannonball at its foot, with SIEGEMENTAL above and SCRATCHES AN ITCH IN YOUR BRAIN below.
Back: a King George V class battleship in side profile, with her ten 14-inch guns in two quadruple turrets and one twin and her two funnels, over a low sea. HMS KING GEORGE V above, CLASS 1940 below. The ship is drawn from the US Navy's wartime ONI recognition sheet of the class.
Spec: 45 mm, die-struck brass, antique finish, in a clear capsule.
Images are design renders, not photos of a struck coin.
